ADHD – ‘Talent for Today’s Multi-Tasking World’
Advertising, Media, Photo Gallery, Tech & Science Wednesday, March 7th, 2012Parents who worried about their child having ADD or ADHD should be comforted by a Harvard Medical School paper, published in the AMA Journal of Medicine, that found that ADD and its sister, ADHD, may actually provide an advantage in functioning in today’s fast paced world.
For example, ‘so-called’ normal kids typically are fairly anal about completing a project from start to finish and therefore miss all the other things buzzing around them. Those with ADD or ADHD pick up on all that is going on around them and quickly can focus their attention from one thing to another. This talent to multi-task is vital in today’s ever changing world and not spend too much time focusing on one thing. Take Twitter, which limits messages to 140 letters….since anything that can’t be expressed within this limit will probably bore everyone.
Also, the study goes on to say, that what was seen as a handicap….the strong tendency of those with ADD / ADHD not to complete any projects they start, was found also ideal in the work environment. It fosters teamwork among colleagues as the ADD /ADHD worker allows his colleagues the opportunity to share in the praise of his projects and work cooperatively.
For those parents of disadvantaged normal kids, take heart in the knowledge that ADD /ADHD is rising, so if you’re planning another child, the odds are increasing in your favor that he’ll have ADD or ADHD.

Hi, nice website but occasionally I encounter a bug where the right nav bar can’t be seen. It’s mainly on the default webpage Best wishes
Thanks for your thoughts. One thing really noticed is banks and financial institutions know the spending habits of consumers and also understand that a lot of people max outside their own credit cards around the trips. They wisely take advantage of this fact and begin flooding your current inbox and snail-mail box by using hundreds of 0 APR credit card offers immediately after the holiday season comes to an end. Knowing that when you are like 98% of American open public, you’ll soar at the opportunity to consolidate credit card debt and switch balances for 0 APR credit cards.
Sweet blog! I found it while browsing on Yahoo News. Do you have any suggestions on how to get listed in Yahoo News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there! Appreciate it
Nice work. Keep it flowing…
